Robert J. Hoffman, Esq. has practiced law for over 50 years with experience in real estate, probate, wills and trusts, general business, corporations and civil litigation. Mr. Hoffman is an approved attorney for institutional mortgage lenders and an underwriting agent for several title insurance companies. He has served as an expert witness and consultant in real estate law and conveyancing matters. Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1954, Mr. Hoffman also has practiced in the Federal Courts and has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Other professional experiences include his service as an Assistant US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, instructor in law at Babson College Summer School, Land Court Examiner and adjunct professor at Suffolk University School of Law.
Mr. Hoffman graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, earned his JD at Harvard Law School and received his mediation training at Harvard Law School’s Program of Instruction for Lawyers.
A long time member and past president of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts, he served on its Executive Committee and chaired the Association’s Ethics Committee. Mr. Hoffman also holds memberships in the Massachusetts Association of Bank Counsel, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Abstract Club. He is a Life Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.
