Before joining REBA Dispute Resolution, Chris Armstrong served on the Massachusetts Appeals Court bench from 1972 until his retirement in July of 2006-over 30 years. From 2000 to 2006 he served as the Court’s Chief Justice and was instrumental in expanding the Court’s bench from 14 to 25 judges, eliminating the Court’s case backlog for the first time in 16 years. He served as the first Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Court's Committee on Judicial Ethics from 1988 until 1998. He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Chief Judges Council of the National Center of State Courts for five years until his retirement as Chief Justice of the Appeals Court.
