2007 REBA Title Standards Committee

Title Standards Committee
The Association’s Title Standards Committee proposes amendments to existing Title Standards due to changes in case law and legislation and drafts new Title Standards for consideration by the REBA Board of Directors and recommendation for adoption by the general membership. The Committee reviews the Land Court Guidelines, comparing them to the Title Standards and bringing the two into as much harmony as possible. The Committee reviews other areas of law such as probate practice and estate planning and administration, bankruptcy and corporate law and their impact on conveyancing.  The Committee also works collaboratively with other REBA committees, to provide input and/or drafting on matters within their spheres of interest, including proposals for the adoption by the REBA membership of approved forms and practice standards.  The Title Standards Committee welcomes suggestions from members of the Association.
